Save MoneyAt least a few times a week, I get an email or two asking about internet service. It’s happened so often, in fact, that I added an ISP search engine to my site to help people find internet service deals in their area. The main question?

“How do I save on internet service when I break the bundle?”

Which makes sense, right? You get a discount on internet service when you bundle together with pay-TV and landline. So won’t the cable companies try and get their money back when you cut cable and signup for broadband? 

Of course they will. But the truth is that you can still save money and get the internet service you need.

OTA + OTT Streaming Makes Sense (and Cents!) for Cordcutters

Since the beginning of 2015, we’ve seen a wave of HBONOW game of thronesannouncements for new television streaming services and TV a-la-carte offerings. There’s been Sling TV, CBS All Access, HBO Now and Playstation Vue. NBC is also rumored to be planning a comedy-focused streaming service and others are saying Apple is planning a service including content from both broadcast and cable channels.

There’s never been more choice for consumers which is great news. However, some news reports have been focusing on how adding these services to get the equivalent of cable isn't really a good bargain...
