John Tablo cordcutterI was paying $200 per month with Cox Cable. We were spending all that money to spend most of our time channel surfing for something worthwhile to watch. I started cord cutting with a Roku to watch Netflix, Amazon, & Hulu.  After researching OTA DVRs (Tablo and TiVo), I chose to add Tablo for its technology and money saving features.

Specifically, Tablo allows me to upgrade the replaceable hard drive to any size. The Live TV grid guide looks so advanced and polished compared to any cable provider. Access to all of Tablo’s features isn’t free but in comparison to pay TV it’s a great deal. I paid less than $50 for a yearly subscription.
