Q&A > Does a Wireless TV Antenna Exist?

Watching Football

Send us your most pressing TV viewing questions via email so we can answer them in an upcoming issue.

This week's question comes from Wes who says, "Is there such a thing as a wireless TV antenna? I only get about 2-3 channels with an antenna in the living room, but when I put the same antenna in my bedroom window I get more than 50."

While Wes gets great antenna reception in his bedroom, it's not the most comfortable spot to have the guys over to watch the game. Even though a wireless TV antenna doesn't exist, there is a way to solve his problem.

When the best place for indoor antenna reception isn't near the TV you want to watch most often, a network-connected tuner or DVR like Tablo can help. These devices take the incoming signals from your TV antenna and stream them over your home network to internet-connected devices.

By connecting the TV antenna in his bedroom to a Tablo, Wes could watch the 50 channels he gets there on any screen in his home, including the Smart TV in his living room and the Roku on his basement TV.
