Q&A > Can I Bring My Tablo DVR to Europe?
TV towers in Spain

Send us your most pressing cord cutting questions via email so we can answer them in an upcoming issue.

This week's question comes from Tanya who says, "My family is moving to Spain and I understand you can get Over-the-Air TV there. Will I be able to keep using our Tablo to record?"

While many countries offer Over-the-Air TV, there are different types of broadcast standards used throughout the world. In North America, we use ATSC to deliver television signals whereas many locations in Asia, Africa, and Europe (including Spain) use DVB-T.

Although the antennas used to capture DVB-T transmissions are the same as we use here, on the other end a device with a DVB-T tuner is required to receive and decode the content.

Tablo's tuners are ATSC and our TV Guide Data is limited to stations in the United States and Canada. Unfortunately, Tanya will need to find a different solution for when she moves.
