Happy Friday Cord Cutters!

This week we have a Q&A on streaming options for Over-the-Air subchannels, lots of pre-Prime Day deals, short cuts, must-see TV, and more!

As always, if you know of someone who might need some insight or help with cutting the cord on cable or satellite, please forward our newsletter, or use the handy share buttons at the top of this email.

OK... now let's get to it!

Q&A > What Happened to the App for Streaming OTA Subchannels?

Free2View

Send us your most pressing cord cutting questions via email so we can answer them in an upcoming issue.

This week's question comes from Denise who says, "There was a Roku app for streaming OTA channels such as MeTV. A couple weeks ago some of the channels disappeared from the selection and now the whole app is gone from my Roku. What happened?"

Some cord cutters like Denise were using an app called Free2View TV which, among other content, offered streams of a half-dozen Over-the-Air channels owned by Weigel Broadcasting, including MeTV, Story Television, Heroes & Icons, Start TV, and Decades.

Unfortunately, this was being done without the consent of Weigel and the operator of the Free2View app has shut down the illegal service.

If you're not able to access these neat subchannels with an Over-the-Air TV antenna, some are available on an app called LocalBTV if it's available in your market.
