Happy Friday Cord Cutters!
This week we've got two reviews on awesome and affordable Smart TVs.
We're also circling back on the increasing crackdown on KODI add-ons, classic gameshows on OTA subchannels, and as always this week's must-see TV!
OK... now let's get to it!
NEWS: Lawsuits Shut Down Popular Piracy Add-Ons for KODI
Cord cutters who've chosen to access pirated content via so-called 'KODI boxes' have likely noticed that some of their favorite piracy add-ons are no longer functioning. A lawsuit launched by Dish Network in the US has shut down both TV Addons and ZEMTV for users there and in Canada.
While it can be tempting to choose a 'KODI box' - especially for consumers who are new to cord cutting or who may not understand the legalities or technology behind illegal streaming add-ons - your cord cutting experience will be better, and more stable using official Android TV devices - like the Nvidia SHIELD and XiaomiMi Box - with legal streaming and Over-the-Air TV solutions.
GEAR: Awesome 4K Smart TVs on a Budget
Smart TVs powered by Amazon Fire TV smarts are shipping and early reviews are quite positive. The team at Engadget says it's, "... worth more than you have to pay for it... a pretty decent 4K TV for a really decent price."
The team at The Verge however is in love with TCL's new P-Series Roku-powered sets, calling them a "... remarkable win for budget-conscious consumers."
It seems like cord cutters on the hunt for an affordable 4K Smart TV only have to make a choice between which interface they prefer: Amazon's Fire TV or Roku's.

GEAR: Best Buy Courts Cord Cutters with In-Store Selection
In another move that shows how mainstream cord cutting is getting, Best Buy has started creating specific sections in retail stores that feature streaming devices, Over-the-Air antennas and DVRs (like Tablo DUAL) and home networking gear like routers.
Want to know which of your local Best Buy stores have a cord cutting aisle? Check out the full list here. And we've got guides on streaming devices, antenna selection and networking to help you do your research before you head to the store.
P.S. - If you're heading there this weekend, keep an eyeball out for a deal on the new Tablo DUAL OTA DVR starting on Sunday, June 25th!
HOW TO: Watch Movies for Free!
If you're looking to watch a movie on a rainy day and don't have any recorded on your Tablo, the folks at CNET have a great list of resources for free streaming movies including Crackle and Hoopla - a service offered through your local library!
Have you used Hoopla or other 'cord cutting' resources from your local library that you think everyone should know about? Tell us on Twitter or Facebook.
WHATS ON: Check Out Classic Gameshows on Buzzr

CANADIAN CORNER: 1 in 4 Canadians Considering Ditching Cable
A new study shows that 27% of Canadians are contemplating ditching their traditional pay TV service which should make Bell, Rogers, and Shaw nervous.
While experts say it doesn't point to an impending mass exodus - likely given the lack of choice in the current market - it does show that Canadians are unhappy with the status quo, and are embracing streaming services and Over-the-Air TV.
