The Xbox One might have launched with aspirations of becoming the hub at the center of your entire living room, but Microsoft has since moved away from that goal to focus more strictly on gaming. That doesn’t mean that the console has no place in your living room, though and Tablo aims to show this with its latest app, which lets users of its over-the-air (OTA) DVR watch live TV on the Xbox One.
“Many cord cutters were left without an OTA DVR option for their gaming system of choice when Microsoft put its project plans on hold,” Grant Hall, CEO of Tablo maker Nuvyyo, said in a statement. “We are excited to provide the gaming community with a Tablo App for Xbox One, bringing us even closer to our goal of becoming the universal app for live TV and recorded broadcast programs on all your favorite devices.”
