Someone reached out to me and said, “Have you checked out Tablo?” Well you know what, TV tuners are nothing new to me. I’ve been a cord cutter for over 9 years now but I’ve always stuck with HDHomeRun tuners. I’ve had three of them over the years and this Tablo product looks pretty cool.
It’s a competing TV tuner. It’s actually a dual tuner and it’s very much the same as HDHomeRun but it’s a completely different way of looking at TV.
Let me show you how this works. So they have a little box much like the HDHomeRun and exactly at the same price point. They’re within 3 dollars of each other.
This thing is incredibly easy to use. It looks a lot like I’m running Netflix but I’m not.
Which one’s better? It depends on what you want to do with it.
I’ve gotta give it up to the Tablo for organization, for ease of use, for ease of recording, for the ability to discover new programs, it’s so much better. Web navigation: better. The application on the phone: WAY better.
If I could only pick one… I gotta say I don’t know if it’s cause it’s new or not – but I love the Tablo.
I have not been able to record things like this, this easy.
I’ve gotta say, I’m tickled with this thing.
