Q&A > What Does Tablo's LED Switch Do?
This week's question is from Peter who asks, "There's a switch in the settings of my Tablo that says LED. What does it do?"
Every Tablo has a blue LED light. When your Tablo is powered on and connected to your home network, the blue LED will be on and solid, not flashing.
The blue LED light on the Tablo will flash if your Tablo has just rebooted, is no longer connected to your network, or experiencing another type of problem. That's why we recommend that you keep the LED setting ON for troubleshooting reasons.
However, the bright light can be a nuisance if Tablo is placed in a bedroom for example. This is why we've given users the option to disable the LED if needed. It can easily be turned back on if required or requested by the support team.
