Q&A: Why Does Only One of My Fire TV Sticks Buffer?

Today's question comes from Kelli who says, "We have two Fire TV sticks. The one in the living room works great, but the one in the bedroom won't play video without pausing to buffer every few minutes. They're the same model... Why is this happening?"
It's so frustrating when you're trying to binge your favorite show and the video keeps pausing to buffer. Buffering happens when the network your streaming device is connected to isn't fast enough to keep up with the video.
But when your have a super-fast internet plan, and other devices in your home are working perfectly, it's extra frustrating. Thankfully, that difference also points to a potential source for Kelli's problem: her Fire TV's connection to her home WiFi network/router.
If this is happening to you, first check the WiFi signal quality on your streaming device. If it's poor, try one of these fixes:

CANADIAN CORNER: Paid Streaming Up 37%
Canadians spent 37% more on paid streaming services over the last year according to a new report.
This growth is mostly attributed to foreign streaming services and an overall growth in cord cutting in the country.
