NEWS > New TV-Connected Tablo QUAD HDMI OTA DVR
Late last year, we launched our first TV-connected Over-the-Air DVR, Tablo DUAL HDMI. And this week we're excited to announce its sibling has arrived: Tablo QUAD HDMI OTA DVR

Designed for cord cutters with larger families and/or channel lineups who prefer a traditional DVR setup with a dedicated remote, Tablo QUAD HDMI lets you watch or record up to four antenna TV shows at once.

It's available now exclusively via the Tablo web store for $199.99 USD or $259.99 CAD

Head over to the Tablo blog for full details.

Q&A > Why Did This Series Disappear?
Stargate SG1

Send us your most pressing cord cutting questions via email so we can answer them in an upcoming issue.

This week's question comes from Len who says, "I was in the middle of watching the old Stargate SG1 series on Amazon Prime when it suddenly disappeared. Why?"

Over the last year, folks have gravitated towards bingeing older series. Psychologists say it's comforting to enjoy low-stakes entertainment with familiar characters.

But corporate content contracts don't care that you're only halfway through a series, and that's exactly what happened to Len.

Amazon lost the rights to stream Stargate SG1 at the end of February. It is still available in the US on Hulu and Netflix, as well as on Over-the-Air TV channel Comet.

Most major services will publish a list of new and 'exiting' content each month, so it's worth keeping an eye out for those updates so you have some advanced warning.

Have a question about cord cutting that you'd like answered? Send us a note and you may see your question in an upcoming issue of Cord Cutting This Week!

CANADIAN CORNER > Rogers Poised to Buy Shaw

Rogers has agreed to buy Shaw in one of the biggest telecom deals Canada has seen in decades.

Although the two companies have operated in different markets for TV and internet service, it will reduce competition in the wireless space. This can't bode well for Canadian consumers already dealing with some of the highest cell phone rates in the world.

Regulatory bodies still need to approve the deal before it can close in early 2022.
