Happy Friday Thursday Cord Cutters!
The newsletter is coming to you a bit early this week because of tomorrow's holiday.
This week we're talking about the newest streaming service on the block, Quibi, and whether it has a chance in a world where most people are at home 24/7.
Also: Q&A on replacement remotes, short cuts including a sweet deal on TV antennas, must-see OTA TV, and more.
As always, if you know of someone who might need some insight or help with cutting the cord on cable or satellite, please forward our newsletter, or use the handy share buttons at the top of this email.
OK... now let's get to it!
NEWS: Can Quibi Thrive In a World For Which It Wasn't Designed?
Q&A: Where Can I Find a Replacement Remote for my Roku?
Send us your most pressing cord cutting questions via email so we can answer them in an upcoming issue.
Today's question comes from Rick who says, "The remote for my Roku Streaming Stick failed recently. I’m using the iPhone app but my wife finds this unsatisfactory. Cheap replacements from Walmart and others are not for sticks. Where can I find one?"
Rick didn't mention the fate that befell his Roku remote. Unless it was used as a chew toy by your dog, try these troubleshooting tips from Roku first.
If it is truly dead, there are replacements available direct from Roku.
However, at $19.99, if your Roku is 3+ years old and you have the cash to spare, it may be worthwhile to spend a bit more and get a newer, faster model.
Have a question about cord cutting that you'd like answered? Send us a note and you may see your question in an upcoming issue of Cord Cutting This Week!
