GEAR: Amazon & Best Buy Team Up on Fire TV... TVs
At January's Consumer Electronics Show, the lack of new Smart TVs designed with Amazon's Fire TV operating system was noted by several industry watchers. Turns out it's because Amazon was secretly working on a Smart TV partnership with an unusual ally: Best Buy.
The two retailers have teamed up to be the exclusive retailers of a new line of Toshiba and Insignia branded televisions which will be sold in-store at Best Buy as well as on BestBuy.com and Amazon.com.
With no pricing or even display size information yet, it will be difficult to see how these new TVs compare to the competition - Roku-powered models from brands like TCL.

WHAT'S ON: Is Your Fav TV Show Getting Renewed or Cancelled?
It's that time of year when shows premiering in the fall are either renewed for another season - like Big Bang Theory, The Good Place, and This Is Us - or cancelled like American Housewife, Great News, and The Exorcist.
Most shows - like Criminal Minds - are in renewal limbo, but Entertainment Weekly has compiled an excellent list with each show's odds of coming back next fall.
Is there a show you're surprised to see listed as 'unlikely'? Which renewed show are you most excited for? Tell us on Twitter or Facebook.
Wondering what new shows are vying to take the place of those on the chopping block? EW's also got a list of pilot proposals for each network.

CANADIAN CORNER: Speaking of Amazon and Best Buy....
Canadians will also be able to pick up the new Amazon Fire TV Smart TVs when they launch later this year via a new Amazon capability called 'international shopping'.
This service will allow customers in Canada and many other countries to purchase goods shipped from the US. The service will show pricing including shipping costs and import duties which should help consumers avoid the 'fun' of surprise fees.
