I’ve been a customer of all of the major cable/satellite providers. Over and over again I was duped by their introductory pricing only to see my bills skyrocket to close to $100 per month for pretty basic TV services. For 5 years prior to cutting the cord, I had annual negotiations with my satellite provider to try to get my monthly costs down again. It became a huge pain to make those calls and still end up with minimal savings. When a friend of mine talked about how his family had moved to an HDTV antenna and cut the cord, I immediately began to plan my escape from pay TV. After installing everything, I'm saving about $65 per month and I still get to watch everything I did before I switched. I should've done this years ago.
