Today, we've very excited to announce that the updated Roku channel as well as apps for Amazon Fire TV and Android TV are finally here!
As you may know, we've been working really hard over the last three months to deliver these new apps so you can enjoy the same beautiful Tablo experience you're used to on tablets, smartphones and PC/MAC on your big-screen TVs.
Why did you cut the cord? How much money are you saving each month?
There was a posting on a friend’s facebook page, that she had done away with her cable TV and replaced it with Roku, due to poor customer support from her cable provider. I too had frustration and angst when dealing with this same provider.
My interest was piqued by this Roku device that she was using to replace cable TV, so my sweetie Paul and I started our cord cutting home project.
As you might know, Tablo recently announced a new Roku channel as well as interfaces for Amazon Fire TV and Android TV would be coming in the first quarter of 2015.
When we unveiled screenshots for both interfaces earlier this month, people got pretty excited.
Here at Tablo, we want to help make 2015 the year that you finally cut the cord on cable.
With the amount of technology and services available on the market today, cutting the cord is easier than ever and it can save you a significant amount of money.
How much money? Well, we've developped a new resource to help you find out - the Tablo Cord Cutter Calculator!
Another quesetion we get asked frequently is about the difference between the 2-Tuner Tablo DVR and the 4-Tuner Tablo DVR.
Well, the short answer is 2 extra tuners but the real question is what’s so great about having more tuners?
Well, the tuners inside your Tablo take the digital signal from your HDTV antenna and convert it into a digital file that can be played back on your screen.
