Why did you cut the cord? How much money are you saving each month?
One day it dawned on me that the only TV I watched through my cable provider were channels that I could get free with an Over-The-Air (OTA) HDTV antenna. I was paying $98 a month for Dish Network and realized that as much as it pleased me to just pay money for something I didn’t use (haha), I was done with pay TV.

It should be of reasonable cost, flexible, and extraordinarily reliable!

Why did you cut the cord? How much money are you saving each month?
The retention department dance with the cable company every 6-12 months was getting really old. Over the last three promotional periods, our rate for internet/cable had risen from $99 to $160/month. I did a little research and just about everything we watched was available Over-the-Air. After cutting the cord we pay just $34.98/month.
Since the beginning of 2015, we’ve seen a wave of announcements for new television streaming services and TV a-la-carte offerings. There’s been Sling TV, CBS All Access, HBO Now and Playstation Vue. NBC is also rumored to be planning a comedy-focused streaming service and others are saying Apple is planning a service including content from both broadcast and cable channels.
There’s never been more choice for consumers which is great news. However, some news reports have been focusing on how adding these services to get the equivalent of cable isn't really a good bargain...
