Tablo FAQs – Can I Record Streaming Services Like Sling TV or Netflix with Tablo?

Sling TVOur friends Sling TV launched their popular TV streaming service in February. Next in our ongoing series focusing on the top 10 Over-the-Air HDTV markets in North America, we’re heading to California which boasts four metro areas within the in the top 10 cities in North America for free TV in high definition and many more within the top 20.

If you live in the Golden State, particularly in or near Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego or Sacramento you can receive between 15-23 channels in full HD. That doesn’t include the many non-HD and sub-channels available in the region which offer multicultural, religious and other programming.

Today we’re focusing on Florida which hosts 3 markets that rank at #10 and #7 respectively which means an amazing selection of beautifully crisp FREE HDTV channels available OTA using an antenna.

If you live in the sunshine state, particularly in or near the major centers of Tampa Bay, Miami or Orlando you can receive between 15 and 18 channels in full HD. That doesn’t include the many non-HD and sub-channels available in the region which offer multicultural, religious and other programming.

There was a posting on a friend’s facebook page, that she had done away with her cable TV and replaced it with Roku, due to poor customer support from her cable provider. I too had frustration and angst when dealing with this same provider.

My interest was piqued by this Roku device that she was using to replace cable TV, so my sweetie Paul and I started our cord cutting home project.

Why did you cut the cord? How much money are you saving each month? 

I cut the cord due to the ever-increasing costs and horrible customer service with cable. I’m saving around $100 a month now!

What do you get with an HDTV antenna that you couldn’t get another way?
All the channels I get from my antenna are in HD. Even when I was paying over $160 per month for cable I had zero premium channels and zero HD. That cost was for basic cable only which is absurd!
