Why did you cut the cord? How much money are you saving each month?
I recently moved and decided I didn't want to pay anyone anything for TV anymore. I didn't plan to stop watching TV - I just wanted to stop paying for it. I was spending close to $150 a month to get programming from a mid-tier satellite package to four TVs. Now I spend $0 a month. I get so excited whenever I think about this that a little pee comes out.
When you’ve got a young family, any kind of savings in the monthly budget is very much appreciated. This is why many couples with kids are choosing to cut the cord on cable or satellite subscriptions, especially since they’re usually too busy with everyday life to watch much of their favorite shows live anyway.
That being said, saving money on TV to put towards more critical budget items (like groceries and diapers) doesn’t mean parents need to give up those 20 minute slices of freedom that a kids’ program can provide. Tablo is the perfect balance of immediate and on-demand access to quality kids’ TV programming for cord-cutting parents, allowing them to cancel their cable bill while still keeping their sanity.
At least a few times a week, I get an email or two asking about internet service. It’s happened so often, in fact, that I added an ISP search engine to my site to help people find internet service deals in their area. The main question?
“How do I save on internet service when I break the bundle?”
Which makes sense, right? You get a discount on internet service when you bundle together with pay-TV and landline. So won’t the cable companies try and get their money back when you cut cable and signup for broadband?
Of course they will. But the truth is that you can still save money and get the internet service you need.
With the exception of the million dollar budget spots that air during the Superbowl, people generally hate commercials. Thankfully, about a year ago Tablo added support for Fast Forward Previews which makes it easy to quickly speed through commercials and get back to the show you were trying to watch.
However, some users have been confused as to why they don’t see Fast Forward Previews on all Tablo video playback.
